Chicago Botanic Gardens in May

The Chicago Botanic Gardens are in Glencoe,  Illinois. They were actually built on top of a garbage dump which is hard to believe. Currently, there are 26 different gardens on almost 400 acres. We  had a couple of days of extremely warm weather-mid eighties and 91 degrees, and everything is popping open at the same time. These pictures were taken right after crossing over the bridge from the visitors’ center. Hundreds of beautiful tulips were on display. The view is looking towards the vegetable gardens on the other side of the lake.

So nice to see an explosion of color after the long and dreary winter that we had.
